1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Arcwise ("Arcwise," "we," "our," or "us") for your use of the ARC mobile application, this website, and related services (together, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, purchasing through, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Additional terms from Apple, Google, or another platform may also apply to your download, account, or purchase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ARC. If the law where you live requires a higher age to consent to online services, you must meet that age or have permission from a parent or legal guardian. If you use ARC on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Limited license

Arcwise grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use ARC on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial learning, subject to these Terms and the applicable app-store rules.

You may not copy, sell, rent, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, bypass security in, or extract substantial portions of the Service except where applicable law does not allow that restriction.

4. Accounts and account security

ARC may begin with an anonymous session and may let you add an email address and password to save progress across supported devices. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Use accurate information and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Do not share an account in a way that bypasses product limits or purchase rules. We may require reasonable verification before changing, recovering, or deleting an account.

You can request deletion in ARC under Settings → Account or through our account-deletion page. Deleting an account is permanent and may remove progress, XP, streaks, badges, leaderboard state, and other linked app data.

5. Learning content and certification disclaimer

ARC provides educational material and practice. It does not provide professional, legal, financial, security, or architectural advice for a specific production system. Cloud services, exams, prices, interfaces, and certification objectives can change, and no study product can guarantee an exam result, certification, job, promotion, or salary outcome.

You remain responsible for checking current official documentation, exam guides, security requirements, and the facts of any real system before making decisions.

AI-assisted explanations may sometimes be incomplete or inaccurate. Treat them as supplementary learning help and compare important claims with reviewed ARC content and current official documentation.

6. Free access, subscriptions, and purchases

Free and paid access

ARC may offer free content, recurring subscriptions, one-time Arc unlocks, free trials, or consumable virtual items. Features, availability, and prices shown in the app at the time of purchase control. We may change future prices or offerings, but changes to an active subscription are handled under the applicable store's rules and notice requirements.

Store billing

Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by Arcwise. Your store account is charged when you confirm a purchase. Taxes, currency conversion, family sharing, refunds, and payment methods are governed by the store and local law.

Auto-renewing subscriptions

If you start an auto-renewing subscription, it continues for the period shown at purchase until canceled. Your store account may be charged for renewal within the window specified by the store. Cancel through your Apple or Google subscription settings before the renewal deadline shown there. Deleting ARC or your Arcwise account does not automatically cancel the subscription.

Trials

If a trial is offered, its length and the price charged after it ends are shown before confirmation. Unless canceled through your store account before the trial converts, the subscription begins and renews at the disclosed price. Eligibility for trials may be limited by the store.

Refunds and restores

Refund requests are decided by the store that processed the purchase, subject to its rules and applicable consumer law. ARC may provide a restore-purchases function for eligible non-consumable purchases and subscriptions associated with the same store account.

Virtual items

Gems, hearts, streak freezes, XP, badges, and similar in-app items are limited licenses to use digital features inside ARC. They have no cash value, are not property or currency, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred or sold unless Arcwise expressly provides that feature. We may correct balances affected by error, refund, fraud, or abuse.

Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights that apply where you live.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or fraudulent activity;
• probe, disrupt, overload, damage, or bypass security or access controls;
• use bots, scraping, automation, or extraction tools without written permission;
• submit malicious code, false reports, or content that infringes another person's rights;
• manipulate XP, leaderboards, purchases, rewards, or other game state;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent affiliation with Arcwise; or
• help another person do any of the above.

We may investigate suspected abuse and limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect the Service, other users, or legal rights.

8. Intellectual property and feedback

The Service, including its software, visual systems, questions, explanations, graphics, characters, branding, audio, and other content, is owned by Arcwise or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant a license to use the Service; they do not transfer ownership.

If you send feedback, suggestions, or a content report, you allow Arcwise to use it to operate and improve the Service without payment or restriction. You keep ownership of original material you include, and you confirm you have the right to submit it.

9. Third-party services

The Service relies on or links to third-party services, including app stores, cloud infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, billing, notifications, and AI providers. Their services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Arcwise is not responsible for third-party sites or services outside our control.

10. Service availability, changes, and termination

We work to keep ARC reliable, but the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, connectivity, provider outages, security work, or other reasons. We may add, change, or discontinue features, content, or offers. Where required, we will provide notice or remedies for material changes to paid access.

You may stop using ARC at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure, or use the Service in a way that harms others. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and payment obligations already incurred.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Arcwise disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation. We do not warrant that every question, explanation, prediction, or third-party service will always be complete or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Arcwise will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, revenue, profits, goodwill, or exam fees arising from the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, Arcwise's aggregate liability for claims related to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Arcwise through the applicable store during the 12 months before the claim or the minimum amount required by law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, these provisions apply only to the extent permitted. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect product, provider, legal, or security changes. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If a material change requires consent or notice, we will provide it as required. Continuing to use the Service after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them, except where law requires another form of agreement.

13. General terms

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; Arcwise may assign them as part of a restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Arcwise concerning the Service, except for additional terms presented for a specific feature or purchase.
