1. Scope and who we are
Arcwise ("Arcwise," "we," "our," or "us") operates ARC, a mobile app for learning cloud architecture through visual puzzles, scenarios, and game-like practice. This policy applies to ARC, the Arcwise website, and related support communications.
Short version: We use information to run ARC, save progress, process purchases, send notifications you control, improve reliability, and provide support. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
2. Information we process
The information ARC processes depends on the features you use, the permissions you grant, and whether you save an account.

Information we do not request for ARC's core features
ARC does not need access to your contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, or advertising identifier for its core learning experience. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide any permission disclosure required by the platform.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- provide, personalize, and maintain ARC;
- save and synchronize learning progress across supported devices;
- calculate server-authoritative economy and leaderboard state;
- process entitlements and restore eligible purchases;
- send notifications you enable and stop them when you disable them;
- generate an AI-assisted explanation only when you request that feature;
- detect abuse, secure accounts, and investigate technical problems;
- review content reports and improve question quality;
- measure performance and improve product design; and
- respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use ARC data to serve targeted ads.
4. Service providers and sharing
We share information only as needed to operate ARC, comply with law, protect users, or complete a request. Providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, prevent harm or fraud, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of Arcwise, our users, or others. If Arcwise is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Some providers may process information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
5. Your choices and controls
- Analytics: Turn app analytics on or off in ARC under Settings → Privacy.
- Leaderboard visibility: Control whether other learners can see your rank under Settings → Privacy.
- Notifications: Choose notification categories in ARC Settings and manage system permission in your device settings.
- Account: Use ARC without converting the initial anonymous session to an email account where that option is available.
- Access, correction, or deletion: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information linked to you, subject to applicable law.
- Theme: Clear the "arcwise-theme" local-storage value or your browser site data to remove the website appearance preference.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights such as objecting to or restricting processing, portability, withdrawing consent, or contacting a local data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep account and progress data while your account is active so ARC can provide and restore the service. Support communications, security records, transaction records, and diagnostics may be retained for the period reasonably needed to resolve requests, prevent fraud, meet accounting or legal requirements, or enforce our agreements.
When you request account deletion, we aim to verify and complete the request within 30 days. We delete or de-identify information linked to the account from active systems, including progress and game state, subject to limited retention required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or financial recordkeeping. Provider backups may take additional time to cycle out under their normal retention schedules.
Deleting ARC does not automatically cancel an app-store subscription. Cancel it separately in your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, platform authentication, and server-side validation for sensitive game and purchase state. No service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Children
ARC is designed for certification learners and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it. A higher minimum age may apply where local law requires it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when ARC's features, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when required.
